Increase in Ant Activity

Posted By on September 9, 2020

You may have noticed an increase in ant activity throughout the community. With the surprise humidity and heat, the ants have become more active. However, the Association’s pest control company that services the common areas is finding that residents are putting out ant bait themselves, particularly the taro ant sugar baits. This type of bait is working against the Association’s pest control service, and is actually attracting ants to those baited areas and the units and structure areas. They are causing large ant trails that are wrapping throughout the sidewalks and driveways. If you have a taro ant sugar bait out, please remove it immediately as it is attracting more ants to the property and working against the Association’s pest control service, making it more difficult to manage. If you have any questions, please contact Management.
